Luke Trimmings runs 105km for Children’s Hospice South West

This coming Saturday, on the 9th of October, Appeal Digital’s very own Managing Director will be striding out of Minehead in the early hours to start his 14-hour journey to Bristol.

Luke started taking his running to new lengths during the pandemic as it supported his wellbeing and mental health. He said: “I’ve run 80km to date in one hit. I’ll be having people pacing me for some sections of the run and I’m planning for it to be done in 12-14hrs.”

Luke kicks off his journey at 4 am this Saturday and asks for you to support him with your donations to the Children’s Hospice South West.

Luke said: “I wanted to do something that will be a significant mental and physical challenge, while also trying to raise some cash for a worthy cause. I came to be aware of the work that Children’s Hospice South West do through a local networking group. After further research, I was touched by the work they do and wanted to link my stupid idea of running 100+km in with trying to do some good at the same time.”

For most of us, running this amount of distance is something that would never occur to us! For Luke, this will soon be reality and any support for the cause will help keep his legs moving until he arrives at Millenium Square in Bristol, UK.

Give your support to Luke and the Children’s Hospice South West now.
