UI/UX Designer (Part-Time)

We are looking for a Freelance / Part Time UI Designer to join our team for 5 days per month on an ongoing basis. You’ll work across our team to deliver remarkable, high-converting websites.

Creativity is just the start – we need someone with commercial savvy who can translate strategy into clear, compelling user interfaces that drive engagement.

At Appeal, we deliver best-in-class digital projects for high-growth B2B companies worldwide. We primarily use WordPress, enhanced by our own custom boilerplate and extensions, to create superior platforms optimized for B2B marketing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Excellence: Develop compelling website designs for B2B clients from concept to completion.
• Strategic Thinking: Collaborate with our team on wireframes, sitemaps, and conceptual designs.
• Accessibility & Standards: Ensure all output conforms to WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards.
• Research-Led Design: Use user research and site traffic data to inform UI layouts and iterative revisions.

The Commitment

This is a freelance or part-time role requiring a commitment of 5 days per month.

• Location: While we are remote-friendly, we’d love someone who can occasionally join us at Origin Workspace in Bristol.
• Flexibility: We are looking for a long-term partner who can integrate into our workflow and become a core part of our creative engine.

Minimum Requirements

• Tooling: Expert competence in Figma (primary) and Sketch. You must be able to produce functional prototypes for client demonstrations.
• Communication: Excellent skills in explaining and defending your work based on commercial rationale.
• Attention to Detail: Absolute precision is critical; our dev team looks to you as the arbiter of taste and quality.
• Technical Awareness: A solid understanding of technical SEO and how to create performant websites
• Language: Fluent in English (equivalent to IELTS 8 or higher).
