Our 2018 Highlights

As we launch ourselves into another busy year, we thought we’d take a moment to reflect on 2018 and celebrate a few of our highlights and successes.

We hired three new team members

2018 saw the Appeal team grow again. We were delighted to welcome our new Backend Developer, Dan, Project Manager, Wendy, and Front End Developer, Rogier. We asked the guys what their highlight from 2018 was…

“Lots of change in 2018, both professionally and personally! I’m now responsible for the dev ops at Appeal AND a baby human!”

“I really enjoyed working with the team at ZiaBia Events Consultancy. This was the first project that I saw from start to finish, all the way from strategy through to deployment. The whole process was massively rewarding and it was good to get stuck in and help improve how things work at Appeal.”

“My first project was working on our new website at Appeal. I’m really pleased with how it turned out and am continuing to learn a lot. Onward and upward in 2019!”

We launched our managed hosting service

Following amazing client feedback, we launched a more formalised hosting service, offering best in class managed hosting, support, security and monitoring for growing businesses. No one gets into business to worry about managing a website, so we take the effort and hassle out of this, allowing you to get on with business. We look forward to support more clients in 2019 and beyond with their hosting and security needs.

A new home for Appeal

Having worked with Origin Workspace since 2017, we’ve been very lucky to see the project develop and evolve. When the first phase of the project is completed in April 2019, Origin Workspace will offer the best co-working facilities in the whole of the city and it made sense to call Origin ‘home’ when we moved in September.

Work underway on the Origin Workspace Roof Terrace!

Clifton Coffee Roasters

One of the biggest ecommerce websites we developed in 2018. Clifton Coffee Roasters were ready for a new look and approach to help grow their online sales, and showcase their expanding range of products and services. We optimised their checkout process, developed a subscription service and gave them a fresh new design. By the end of the year sales on the new site increased by nearly 50% year over year. Read the case study here.

Maplebrook Wills ranks page one on Google

In the Spring of 2018, we helped launch Maplebrook Wills; a UK will writing franchise based in Bristol. Since the launch, we’ve supported their digital strategy and helped them to reach page one on Google. We can’t wait to see how the business continues to grow and develop into 2018 and beyond.

Two property websites launched in one week

Towards the end of 2018, we launched brand new websites for Platinum Property Partners and Oportfolio in the same week. Whilst both deal with property, they each have a completely unique look and feel, which was a fun design challenge to work simultaneously on these sites.

We rebranded

As the year went on, we felt like our website and online presence wasn’t really in line with how the company was growing. So during the down time at the end of 2018, we decided it was time to give our website a bit of a facelift. We’re so happy with this new look and the potential to grow it even more.

If your goal for 2019 is to grow your business, we’d love to have a conversation about how we may be able to support you online. Get in touch with us and let’s start the year right.
