DAM wins at the Publishing Innovation Awards

We recently launched Digital Americana Magazine for iOS, an all new version of the first digital-only literary magazine for iOS and we’re over the moon with the reception we’ve received. We’re proud to announce that we’ve been nominated in two categories at the Digital Magazine Awards, in addition to receiving the ‘Quality, Excellence and Design’ seal at the Publishing Innovation Awards.

Our work on Digital Americana began when Founder and Editor, Tony Fasciano approached us with his vision for a new type of literary experience for the iPad. The big idea was to bring the page to life for users, enabling them to redact text to create new meaning to exhibit their literary prowess. Users can then play, edit and share their content with their friends from any part of the magazine.

DAM is lauded for it’s diverse and engaging content and our design for this product had to compliment the hard work Tony and his team had put into showcasing such an engaging and eclectic mix of content. Our design approach has always been to let the content shine with the product acting as a pleasant and intuitive means of access, and with the new ‘redact mode’ this became even more important.
